🔥 Suit of Wands — Bird Clan
Anitsiskwa · Fire · South · Sacred Will
The Suit of Wands is the fire that precedes all other elements — the will that strikes before form, emotion, or thought arrive to shape it. In the Walking Between, the Wands are carried by the Bird Clan (Anitsiskwa), the spiritual intermediaries who move between the earth and the sky world, carrying prayers upward and visions downward. Their element is Fire; their direction is South; their season is summer; their domain is sacred will, creative force, and the courage required to act before the outcome is known.
The suit moves through the complete arc of fire: from the cosmic strike of the Ace through the social hearth of the Four, the tested friction of the Five and Seven, the swift transmission of the Eight, the sustained watch of the Nine, and the crushing accumulation of the Ten — before arriving at the Court, where fire is embodied in four distinct human expressions: the Princess who tends it, the Prince who carries it at speed, the Beloved Woman who governs it, and the Knight who becomes it.
